Harwati Hashim is an associate professor at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovations, Faculty of Education, National University of Malaysia (UKM), and currently the Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Education, UKM. She holds a Bachelor in Education (TESL) from Malaya University (UM) and an M.Ed in TESL from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
She then earned her PhD in Education (TESL) from UKM. She is an educational technology enthusiast and an e-learning practitioner. Specializing in Technology-enhanced Language Learning (TELL), she has published articles in journals and proceedings at the national and international level. She is also an active presenter at local and international conferences as well as at innovation competitions. To date, she has won more than 30 medals including a diamond medal from various local and international innovation competitions mainly focusing on e-learning, mobile learning, augmented reality, and the use of social media for learning. Her areas of concentration are mobile learning, Mobile-assisted Language Learning (MALL), technology acceptance as well as language pedagogy and the use of technology in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). She is also an Apple Teacher and a committee of the Mobile Learning Association Malaysia (MLAM). Currently, she teaches current approaches to TESL, academic writing, language learning strategies, and Social Media and learning (SMiLe).

Dr Nor Zaiham’s interests surround the area of
guidance and counselling, career guidance, values in counselling, student
aspirations, and educational psychology.
She has supervised and is currently supervising several graduate
students. She has collaborated with other academics on a research project entitled
‘Empowering
Nation Building
through MIB values and counselling’ under the Brunei Research Council Fund. She is passionate about raising awareness on
mental health and the importance of guidance and counselling among students,
teachers, parents and the public in general.
She looks forward to
working collaboratively with researchers in the same field to expand her research
network and collaboration.
